IRGC chief voices support to Lebanese people after Beirut explosion
Tehran (IP) - Chief Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said Iran will never leave the Lebanese people alone in difficult circumstances following the Beirut explosion.
Iran Press/Iran News: Major Gen. Hossein Salami told the reporters on the sidelines of the first meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Holy Defense Research Institute of Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani on Thursday: “We will never leave the Lebanese people alone in difficult circumstances.”
“The Lebanese people are great stars of resistance in the Islamic community and have always overcome difficulties with patience and perseverance," he added.
The chief commander of the IRGC further extended his condolences to the Lebanese nation, government, and Hezbollah, stressing: "All our capacities have been mobilized to help the Lebanese people."
“We will stand by them until the very end," Salami said, adding: "With the humanitarian aid of the Iranian people, we will try to provide assistance to help the Lebanese people overcome the tragedies caused by this incident."
Senior military commanders of Iran attended the first meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Holy Defense Research Institute of Lt. Gen. Qasem Soleimani on Thursday, including the Chief Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army Major General Seyyed Abdolrahim Mousavi, and the Chief Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Maj. Gen. Hossein Salami.
This research institute has started its work since last year with new changes and structure.
