Zarif announced Tehran's readiness to assist in Afghanistan peace process
Tehran (IP) - In a phone conversation with the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, the Iranian Foreign Minister announced Iran's readiness to assist the peace process in Afghanistan.
Iran Press/Iran News: In the conversation this morning, Iranian Foreign Minister with Hanif Atmar the acting minister of foreign affairs of Afghanistan, Mohammad Javad Zarif called for the progress of Afghanistan peace talks, the need to negotiate between Afghans without foreign intervention and to preserve the achievements of the past 18 years.
Iranian Foreign Minister also emphasized on Tehran's readiness to contribute to the Afghanistan peace process.
The two sides also discussed issues in the field of bilateral relations and especially the finalization of the comprehensive agreement between the two countries.
Mohammed Hanif Atmar at the head of a high-ranking delegation visit Iran and met with Iranian senior officials including Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on June 21.
The document on comprehensive cooperation between the two countries was one of the topics discussed at the meeting, which was scheduled to be finalized within the next three months.
A veraety of agreements signed by the foreign ministers in Tehran which political, economic, security, cultural, and border cooperation and as well as Afghan citizens migrants conditions, transportation were among them.
