Tehran (IP) - After a one-month delay, Iran holds the largest university entrance exam in a year with more than 1.3 million people in four days and in compliance with strict health protocols due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Iran Press/Iran newsFour-day process of holding the nationwide entrance exam in Iran began on Wednesday, August 19 with more than 113,000 volunteers in the art group through observing special health protocols.

The second day of this big exam started on Thursday, August 20, at 8 am with more than 510,000 people competing in the arts and mathematics groups.

Tomorrow, Friday, August 21, 594 thousand volunteers will compete in the experimental science group, and finally, the foreign language group will be held on Saturday with the participation of more than 174 thousand volunteers.

According to Iran's National Organization of Educational Testing, two weeks before the exam, 48 gyms and 10 mosques in different regions of the country were added to the exam space, and the total space for the entrance exam doubled compared to last year.

The distance between the seats is at least one meter and 80 centimeters, which in some areas can be up to two meters.

Also, due to the spread of the Coronavirus and its consequences, health instructions were communicated to the universities in coordination with the Ministry of Health, and their implementation is closely monitored.

Iran used the facilities of military forces and other organizations to hold this year's nationwide entrance exam due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Executive and protective agents' numbers have increased by about 50% compared to last year.
