Tehran (IP) - Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in the cabinet session on Wednesday said that the US defeats in the Security Council is due to the Iranian nation's resistance.

Iran Press/Iran News: Emphasizing the US defeat in the diplomatic arena, the President said, "The United States defeats in the Security Council is rooted in the Iranian nation's resistance and endurance. Otherwise, if Iran had lost itself in the year 2018 and had said I could not resist, the enemy would have returned the resolutions and brought us to our knees.”

President Rouhani stated, "Today, in the face of all conspiracies and pressures from the enemies, especially the United States, which has a conspiracy against the Iranian nation every day, we have a higher need for Ashura culture. Our nation has been able to be victorious and successful against the great powers through resistance.”

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that the form of this year's Imam Hossein Mourning ceremony may be different from previous years due to the Coronavirus pandemic, adding that "The mourning of Imam Hussein is very passionate in all cities. People have held the mourning ceremony at their homes, and streets, and made a beautiful performance for Muharram this year.”

Sating that 900 thousand billion tomans of our income have decreased, Rouhani said, "We have stood in these conditions and our market is better than the Europeans'; We saw this in the situation of Coronavirus.”He said, "We were able to increase."

"Agricultural products have reached from 97.5 million tons to 130 million tons, and this year the government has bought 9% more wheat of farmers than last year. In the first 4 months of this year, despite almost all of the pressures, our production has increased a lot,"  the president added.

"This year, we recorded the highest number of projects inaugurations in the history of the government, which are not comparable to other governments. We had 21 megaprojects from Farvardin 1st (April 20th) until today," Rouhani highlighted.
