People of Shiraz mourn for Imam Hossein on Ashura eve
Shiraz (IP)- On the eve of Ashura, people mourned in Shah-e Cheragh Holy Shrine in Shiraz, the capital of Fars province in southern Iran.
Iran Press/ Iran News: The mourning was held in the presence of the lovers and followers of Imam Hussein (AS) in a spiritual atmosphere by wearing a face mask and maintaining social distancing amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
The mourners were also observing rituals including chest-beating and self- flagellation
Today (Sunday) coincides with the 10th day of Muharram (Ashura) 1442 AH (August 30, 2020). On this day, many places in Iran have covered with black) banners, and people mourn for Imam Hussain (AS).
