Iran Parliament speaker visits Khuzestan province to follow up on problems
Khuzestan (IP) - The Speaker of the Parliament Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf emphasized on solving the economic problems of the people of Khuzestan Province, southwestern Iran.
Iran Press/ Iran news: Upon arrival in Abadan city in Khuzestan province on Tuesday morning, Qalibaf stated that field monitoring had begun in this province to follow up on solving the problems of the people of this region.
He stressed the importance of reviewing the plans of Khuzestan province, adding that the first task of the Islamic Consultative Assembly is to closely monitor the plans and credits and that people should know the status of the provincial plans.
Stating that the Assembly is on the verge of reviewing the year 2021 budget bill and the Seventh Development Plan, Qalibaf underscored that the visits can be effective both in the field of supervision and legislation to solve some of the problems of the province with government assistance.
Samen al-A'emmeh fishing pier and Abadan water and sewage treatment plant are among the important projects in Abadan and Khorramshahr that will be put into operation following the presence of Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf.
The speaker of the Iranian parliament will travel to Mahshahr port afterward. Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf's trip to Khuzestan province has been slated for 4 days.
