Zionist Forces attack Palestinian journalists supporting injured photojournalist
The Israeli forces attacked dozens of Palestinian journalists who protested in solidarity with the injured photojournalist Moath Amarneh.
Iran Press/ Middle East: Dozens of journalists Sunday suffered from breathing problems after inhaling tear gas fired at them by Israeli forces during a solidarity sit-in in support of the injured photojournalist, to the north of the occupied West Bank city of Beit Lahm.
According to local witnesses, Israeli soldiers fired a barrage of tear gas bombs towards journalists who organized a sit-in at the northern entrance of the city of Beit Lahm in solidarity with Amarneh, The Palestine Chronicle reported.
Two journalists were detained during the sit-in.
Palestinian photojournalist Moath Amarneh lost his eyesight in his left eye after being seriously injured by a rubber bullet fired by an Israeli soldier in al-Khalil (Hebron) governorate, where he was covering a protest against land confiscation, according to International Federation of Journalists (IFJ).
According to the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) report, in 2018, two Palestinian journalists were killed when they were deliberately targeted by Israeli soldiers.
