Iraqi people set entrance of US embassy in Baghdad on fire
Baghdad (IP) - Protesting against the US’ recent attack against Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), Iraqis set the entrance of the US embassy in Baghdad on fire.
Iran Press/ Middle East: Iraqi demonstrators gathered in front of the US embassy in Baghdad and entered it on Tuesday while chanting 'Death to America' slogan.
They were protesting against the Sunday night attack by the US forces on Kata'ib Hezbollah bases, which is part of PMF.
During the US attack, at least 25 members of PMF were killed and 51 others were injured.

Iraq’s leaders condemn the US attack
Iraq’s President Barham Salih and caretaker Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi have condemned the US assault against the PMF.
“US attack on Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces is unacceptable and contrary to bilateral agreements,” Salih said.
“The US attack on the positions of the PMF is outrageous aggression and unacceptable,” said Abdul-Mahdi, warning that it will have dangerous consequences.
Iraqi MPs call for US withdrawal from Iraq
In a statement on Tuesday, Iraqi representatives called for the withdrawal of the US troops from their country.
"The Iraqi people regard this embassy (the US embassy in Baghdad) as a nest for espionage and acts of sabotage against themselves," the statement said.
“The message of the Iraqi people is quite clear. They call for the expelling of the US troops and its ambassador from Iraq,” it added.
Iraqi President and Prime Minister urge protesters to leave US embassy
Barham Salih, on Tuesday, urged Iraqi protesters to leave the US embassy.
“Attempts to attack the US embassy in Baghdad violate international agreements that the Iraqi government has been required to comply with,” said Salih.
He called on the protesters to leave the US Embassy in Baghdad and not to worsen the situation.
The Iraqi caretaker Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi also asked all groups to leave the US embassy immediately.
“Any acts of violence against embassies and diplomatic centers will be prevented by the security forces and violators will be sentenced to severe punishment,” said Abdul-Mahdi.
