Iraq's Adil Abdul-Mahdi:
Assault on Iraqi military bases violation of national sovereignty
Iraqi caretaker Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi said Monday that illegal actions aimed at targeting Iraqi military bases or foreign missions are actually targeting the sovereignty and ignoring the government in the country.
Iran Press/ Middle East: Abdul-Mahdi, in his remarks released to Iraqi media, noted that he was concerned about reports of unauthorized flights near Iraqi military bases.
The caretaker prime minister has not spoken out about these illegal flights and their possible purposes.
He also warned of what he called a "retaliatory military action without permission" in his country and condemned it in advance.
Abdul-Mahdi has said that unauthorized military action is a threat to the security of citizens and a violation of the sovereignty and highest interests of the country.
The Iraqi official has noted that he will take all necessary measures to prevent such actions and prosecute those behind the events.
