Syria Foreign Ministry said on Thursday that the Syrian Arab Republic strongly condemns the German government’s decision to consider Hezbollah as a terrorist organization.

Iran Press/ Middle East: "The German government decision frankly embodies its yielding to the dictates of the world Zionism and its heinous subjection to the US policies which support the occupation entity," a source at the Foreign Ministry stated.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Seyyed Abbas Mousavi said on Friday that Germany's action against Lebanon's Hezbollah was pursuant of the US-Zionist Regime's goals.

Earlier on Thursday, in a move to gain the satisfaction of the Zionist regime and the United States, the German Interior Ministry designated Lebanon's Hezbollah group as a terrorist organization and banned its activities across the German soil.

In a move to limit Hezbollah's activities, the Zionist Regime and the United States have been pressuring European countries over the past months to designate the group as a terrorist organization.

Last year, Deputy Foreign Minister of Germany Niels Annen said in an interview with Der Spiegel that Berlin had no plan to designate Hezbollah as a terrorist organization.
