Iraqi Marja: Any security agreement with occupiers absolutely forbidden
Reacting to the ongoing dialogue between Baghdad and Washington, Ayatollah Seyyed Kazem Haeri, one of Iraqis senior Marajs, stressed that signing or extending any security agreement with the occupiers is absolutely forbidden.
Iran Press/ Middle East: Senior Marja said that if Iraqi officials did not fulfill their duty to confront the occupiers, then it will be the duty of the Iraqi people to expel them.
The clauses of Ayatollah Seyyed Kazem Haeri's statement are as follows:
First, signing or renewing any security agreement with the occupiers is forbidden, because the occupiers want nothing but killing, destruction, humiliation, wretchedness, and abjection for our country, and the evidence is more than what could be counted, and ISIS is one of the evils of the occupation.
Second, the presence of the occupiers in Iraq with economic and military titles and the like is absolutely forbidden.
Third, if the authorities do not fulfill their duty against the occupiers, the real position will be with the zealous Iraqi people, which will be nothing but the retreat of the occupiers and their expulsion along with their humiliation out of our land, just the same as what the Iraqi nation has done against the occupiers namely ISIS.
The strategic talks between Iraq and the United States were held last Thursday evening via video conference with the participation of political and expert teams from both sides.
