Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz while criticizing Israeli Prime Minister for the possibility of selling American fighter jets to the UAE, said that Netanyahu's meeting with the Israeli Air Force commander was a bypassing of the protocols.

Iran Press/ Middle East: According to the website of the Zionist newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, Gantz sent harsh letters to Netanyahu and Meir Ben Shabbat, secretary of the Zionist Regime's Internal Security Council, on Thursday evening, criticizing the possibility of including a clause for the sale of American F-35 fighter jets to the UAE in the normalization agreement.

According to the report, Gantz is discontent that Netanyahu and Ben Shabbat, without informing or consulting him as Defense Minister and next Prime Minister in the cabinet, met with Amikam Norkim, commander of the Israeli Air Force, to change stance over selling advanced fighter jets to Arab countries.

Gantz believes the talks bypass the authority of the Ministry of War and security protocols because the Israeli Internal Security Council must first notify the Office of the Minister or the General Staff before meeting with any military official.

Although Netanyahu and Gantz formed a coalition cabinet, there are many disputes between them and there is a possibility of a cabinet collapse. The issue of the sale of the American F-35 fighter to the UAE became a new factor in the dispute between Gantz and Netanyahu.

War Minister Gantz and Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi were unaware of the agreement to sell the US fighter jets to the UAE, stressing that Tel Aviv's air superiority must be maintained in the region.

The United States, Israel, and the United Arab Emirates issued a joint statement last Thursday saying Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv were formally normalizing relations.

The Israeli-UAE agreement has sparked a wave of widespread protests by Palestinian groups, countries in the region, and a number of world political figures.
