Iraqi MP criticizes al-Kazemi agreements in US
The representative of the Sairun coalition in the Iraqi parliament, while warning about the country's contracts worth $8 billion with the United States, emphasized that this contract only benefits Washington.
Iran Press/ Middle East: According to the Al-Ma'loumeh news website, Raad al-Maksusi said on Monday that Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazemi acted in accordance with the wishes of the US government during his visit to Washington.
During a visit to the United States, al-Kazemi signed contracts worth $8 billion with US companies in the field of energy.
The Iraqi parliamentarian said that the scales of signing multibillion-dollar contracts are in the interest of the American side, adding that these contracts were a slap in the face to the Iraqi economy.
Emphasizing the importance of Iraq's agreement with China, al-Maksusi called for the implementation of the agreement.
Mustafa al-Kazemi traveled to the United States last Tuesday and met with Donald Trump on Thursday. Trump said during the meeting that US troops would leave Iraq in the next three years.
